(Sorry about moving the last Max Starwind piece to scraps; I'm much more proud of this one!)
The last leg of the Max Starwind assignment: we had to make a piece of merchandise for our advertising campaign. At the last minute I decided to go with a good old fashioned movie soundtrack, and I'm really happy with how this turned out. I ended up whipping up a back cover tracklist too and actually burning the CD. Nothing like a little bribery to end the quarter! (Tho I think I lost the ass-kissing contest to ~kidoho, who gave the professor a pair of little boys' underoos with this -> [link] emblazoned on the butt.)
That's wicked-cool. I like the yellow/red color combination. It reminds me of something in particular but I can't figure exactly what. I'll get back to you on that!
That is so awesome on so many levels. You've totally nailed that old vintage poster feel to the illo. Did I mention I'm a huge fan of that art style and those posters? Hells yes, I am! Fantastic colour and layout, great illustration. Damn.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
