My last piece of 2008! According to the time-stamp on my email, I finished this right around 11PM, 12/31. And honestly? It was a great way to ring in the New Year.
Another SSBB ( [link] ) image, this time for ~mooncalf's awesome Lovecraftian tale of one seriously nasty tattoo ( [link] ). At first I was sort of lost on how to tackle such a brilliant homage, but I had my own little flash of inspiration: Mignola. All the iconography is there! Once I realized I that I actually had an excuse to draw old books and esoteric magic things and gigantic flailing tentacles, I sort of went balls to the wall with the homage.
